Update access permissions for Gmail or Outlook

Whenever DraftKite adds a new capability (for example coloured labels in Outlook), we have to ask for a new OAuth permission. Existing inboxes keep working on the old permissions, but a small badge appears inviting you to renew access so the new features get unlocked.

Where do I see it?

On /indbakker you'll see a small yellow 'Access needs renewing' badge on the inbox(es) with outdated scopes. It also appears on the inbox detail page itself, along with a short explanation of what the new permissions unlock.

How to renew

  1. Click 'Renew access' on the inbox card.
  2. You're sent to the Gmail/Outlook OAuth page. Read and approve the expanded permissions.
  3. You're sent back to DraftKite. The badge disappears, and the new features are active immediately.

We don't fetch any extra data with the new permissions until you actually use the feature they unlock.
