Switch between your personal account and your company

2 min read · Updated May 8, 2026

If you have a personal DraftKite account and are also a member of one or more companies, you can switch between them just like in Slack or Linear. Each context shows its own inboxes, labels, plugins and drafts — you never mix them up by accident.

How to switch

  1. Click your avatar in the top right corner of the sidebar.
  2. Pick the context you want to work in — 'Personal' or one of your companies.
  3. The whole app reloads into the chosen context. We remember your choice across sessions.

What is per context?

  • Inboxes (different sets depending on the context).
  • Drafts and draft settings (stored per inbox, and inboxes belong to one context).
  • Labels, knowledge base, tone profile — everything is per context.
  • Plugins you've installed — you can have Gecko Booking on your personal account and Pipedrive in the company without them mixing.
  • Billing — the company is billed as a whole, your personal account separately.

What is shared?

  • Your email and your password/login.
  • Your display name (display_name).
  • Your locale preference (interface language).

BYOK keys are per account — if you've set your own OpenAI key on your personal account, it does NOT apply in the company context.
